The 2025 Love Our Schools Vehicle Giveaway was made possible through the extraordinary generosity of Giles Automotive, with the donation of two brand-new vehicles: a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder and a 2025 Nissan Rogue. This marks the 4th Annual Giveaway, and it’s our biggest yet!
Raffle tickets are $50, and 100% of the proceeds benefit public schools across Lafayette Parish—directly impacting local students, teachers, and classrooms.
The 2025 Nissan Rogue S features a 1.5L VC-Turbo™ engine with up to 37 MPG highway, a NissanConnect® 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, LED headlights with signature, and Nissan Safety Shield® 360, which includes:

Thank you for supporting the Love Our Schools Giveaway Raffle (the “Raffle”), conducted for the benefit of Love Our Schools. The purchase of and/or the entry of your name on one or more Love Our Schools raffle ticket(s) signifies your full and unconditional agreement to the following Terms & Conditions:
In the event of any dispute, a reasonable interpretation or determination by Love Our Schools regarding the application of these Terms & Conditions is final and binding in all matters related to the Raffle.
VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW AND OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. Tickets may sell out before the date of the raffle drawing. The chances of winning are based on the number of tickets sold. If fewer tickets are sold, the chances of winning the Grand Prize and other prizes improve.
Sponsor: Love Our Schools, 1035 Camellia Blvd, Suite 100 (Lafayette, LA 70503), (all of the foregoing are collectively referred to as “Sponsor Associates”).
Media Provider: Scripps Media, Inc. d/b/a KATC-TV.
The name of an eligible entrant must be entered on the purchased ticket at the time of purchase. To be eligible to enter, you must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence, whichever is older as of the date of entry, and a living resident of the United States.
The following persons are not eligible to enter: owners, officers and board directors of Love Our Schools, Media Provider, and their Immediate Family Members, including the legal spouse/partner of any of the foregoing. “Immediate Family Members” includes the spouse, parents, in-laws, grandparents, brothers, sisters, children, and grandchildren.
The determinations of Sponsor are final and binding with respect to any matter arising out of the interpretation or application of these terms and conditions.
A ticket claimed by an ineligible person is void and cannot be a winning ticket. No refunds will be made to ineligible claimants, except in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion.
Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. Sponsor reserves the right to verify the eligibility of winner.
Tickets may be reserved on www.loveourschoolsfoundation.org, and at participating locations including Pop Up Tents which will be announced. You must provide all required information to be eligible to enter and win. Incomplete, illegible, corrupted, or untimely entries are void and will be disqualified.
Tickets may be reserved for $50 each. Reservations made are limited to a maximum of 200 tickets per transaction.
A ticket represents a chance to win the opportunity to accept an offer of the stated prize. All sales of tickets are final, and no refunds will be issued. Tickets, prizes, receipts, and any winner’s rights are not transferable.
Sponsor reserves the right to reject any ticket reservation request that is submitted with payment that does not constitute “good funds.” A ticket issued in exchange for a check returned for “insufficient funds,” or for a credit card charge that was declined, invalid, stolen, unauthorized, or for which payment is canceled or challenged is void and cannot be a winning ticket.
All ticket reservations must be received and purchased by the indicated deadlines for the Grand Prize and Early Bird Prizes, respectively. Any requests for reservations of tickets received after these deadlines will be ineligible. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, or non-delivered mail, email or fax messages, or any other failure to receive orders or deliver receipts prior to the drawing deadlines. All defective or physically altered tickets or entry forms may be disqualified.
The winning ticket for each prize will be selected by a random drawing on the respective dates of the raffle drawing set forth below from the tickets properly reserved and paid for by the respective deadlines set forth below. Sponsor will select the name of potential winners of the prizes in a random drawing from all eligible raffle tickets. All tickets have an equal chance to win. Ticket entrants need not be present to win.
Prizes to be awarded are: Grand Prize: There will be two prize winners. One prize winner will receive a 2025 Nissan Rogue valued at $28,590 and another prize winner will receive a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder valued at $36,400; Early Bird Prizes: Early Bird Prize 1 is “Free Cane’s for a Year” (FCFAY) which is defined as Three Box Combos to be loaded to the FCFAY Card on the first of each month for 12 months, in addition to the month the Customer received the FCFAY Card (for a total of 13 months). Customers have until the end of each month to redeem the three Box Combos. Box Combos can be redeemed all on one check or on separate visits throughout the month. Any unused Box Combos will expire at the close of business on the last day of each month. Early Bird Prize 2 is $5,000 in cash. Early Bird Prize 3 is a ring donated by Lee Michaels and described by the donor as “18 karat white gold with a .16ct marquise diamond in the center. The marquise is set horizontal and has multi-rows of pave diamonds on either side of it. The total diamond weight is .88. The value of the ring is $3765.” Early Bird Prize 4 is Disney Trip One winner will receive a luxury family getaway to the Disney World Wonder in Orlando, Florida, which includes:
· A four-night stay in a luxury townhome for up to six (6) guests, located minutes from Walt Disney World® Resort
· One (1) complimentary one-day pass per guest to a Disney Theme Park (choice of Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, or Hollywood Studios)
· Access to shared resort amenities including a water park, PGA golf course, world-class shopping, and dining
· Premium Guest Services to assist with trip planning
Redemption Terms
· Winner has 24 months from the raffle drawing date to complete travel
· Booking must be made within 12 months of the raffle drawing date
· All reservations are subject to availability and must be made in advance
· Blackout dates apply and include Spring Break, Springtime Surprise, July 4th week, Thanksgiving week, Christmas week, and New Year’s week
· Travel is permitted year-round, excluding blackout dates
Additional Conditions
· Townhome will be assigned based on availability; specific units are not guaranteed
· Images used in promotional materials are for illustrative purposes only
· Prize does not include transportation, meals (unless specified), or any other incidental costs not explicitly stated above
· Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and has no cash value
· All travel arrangements and accommodations related to this prize will be coordinated exclusively through LuxGive. LuxGive will determine the specific details of the trip, including dates, accommodations, and included amenities, subject to availability and their standard terms and conditions.
All raffle tickets properly reserved and paid for by the Early Bird Prize deadlines shall be eligible to win the Early Bird Prize(s) by which deadline such raffle ticket was timely reserved and the Grand Prize. The tickets for winners of the Early Bird Prizes will be included in the drawing for the Grand Prize.
Only raffle tickets properly reserved before the deadline of September 22, 2025, at 11:59 pm will be entered for a chance to win the Grand Prize. Drawing for the Grand Prize to be held “live” on KATC-TV3 during Media Provider’s 5pm (CST) newscast on September 25, 2025. (Date and time are subject to change.) Drawings for Early Bird Prizes will be performed internally utilizing a random number generator, and winners will be announced on social media (Facebook, Instagram).
For Early Bird Prize 1 (Free year’s worth of Canes as defined herein): only raffle tickets properly reserved and paid for before the deadline of August 12, 2025, at 11:59 pm shall be entered for a chance to win. Drawing for the Early Bird Prize 1 will be on August 13, 2025, at 5:00 pm (date and time are subject to change) and the winner will be announced via social media.
For Early Bird Prize 2 ($5,000 cash): only raffle tickets properly reserved and paid for before the deadline of August 26, 2025, at 11:59 pm shall be entered for a chance to win. Drawing for the Early Bird Prize 2 will be on August 27, 2025, at 5:00 pm (date and time are subject to change) and the winner will be announced via social media.
For Early Bird Prize 3 (Lee Michaels jewelry as defined herein): only raffle tickets properly reserved and paid for before the deadline of September 9, 2025, at 11:59 pm shall be entered for a chance to win. Drawing for the Early Bird Prize 3 will be on September 10, 2025, at 5:00 pm (date and time are subject to change) and the winner will be announced via social media.
For Early Bird Prize 4 (Disney Trip as defined herein): only raffle tickets properly reserved and paid for before the deadline of September 16, 2025, at 11:59 pm shall be entered for a chance to win. Drawing for the Early Bird Prize 3 will be on September 17, 2025, at 5:00 pm (date and time are subject to change) and the winner will be announced via social media.
The odds of winning a prize depends on the number of valid raffle tickets sold. Each valid raffle ticket sold has an equal chance to be selected as a winning ticket. The chances of any individual ticket being a winning ticket are based on the number of tickets sold. If fewer tickets are sold, the chances of winning ticket improve.
Each prize will be awarded to only one (1) winner. If the winning ticket selected for a particular prize has more than one name on it, the prize will be awarded to the eligible individual whose name appears first on the ticket. That individual is solely responsible for allocating the value of the prize among the entrants.
Each winner must accept the prize, “as is” or “as built” without additions or alterations with no expressed or implied warranties by Sponsor.
The winning ticket holder will have thirty (30) days from the date of the announcement of the respective Grand or Early Bird prize drawing to accept the prize. In addition, the winning ticket holder of the Grand Prize will have sixty (60) days from the date of the Grand Prize Announcement to close on and take possession of the Grand Prize car.
Any Early Bird Prize or Grand Prize unclaimed after thirty (30) days of the announcement of the respective prize drawing is forfeited and no substitute or alternative prize will be provided. A forfeited prize may be awarded to an alternate winner selected by random
drawing from among all remaining eligible entries or otherwise in accordance with applicable gaming agency regulations.
The winning ticket holder will forfeit the Grand Prize in the event he or she fails to accept the Grand Prize and/or close on the car within the deadlines specified herein, except as Sponsor may determine in its sole and absolute discretion. In such event, the forfeited Grand Prize may be awarded to an alternate winner selected by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries or otherwise in accordance with applicable gaming agency regulations.
Entry into the raffle and acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsor and Media Provider to use the winner’s name, picture, video image, and relevant quotes to promote Love Our Schools, and agreement by the winner that the prize will not be used for fundraising for another charity.
The winner of each prize shall have no rights in or to the prize itself until the winner has been verified as eligible by Sponsor and until delivery of the prize to the winner has been completed. Until that time, as between Love Our Schools and the winner, each prize remains the sole property of Love Our Schools. In the case of a winner accepting a car he/she will take ownership subject to all applicable federal, state, and local land vehicle ownership laws, registration requirements, and insurance obligations.
Love Our Schools agrees to award the Winner of the Love Our Schools Giveaway Raffle the above-mentioned Prize. The Prize shall not be transferred until all legal requirements have been satisfied. Upon the Winner’s full compliance with all obligations outlined herein, Love Our Schools will notify the dealership from which the Prize was purchased to title the vehicle in the Winner’s name.
Verification of Potential Winners: ALL POTENTIAL WINNERS ARE SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY SPONSOR, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE RAFFLE. AN ENTRANT IS NOT A WINNER OF ANY PRIZE UNLESS AND UNTIL ENTRANT’S ELIGIBILITY HAS BEEN VERIFIED AND ENTRANT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED THAT VERIFICATION IS COMPLETE.
Any and all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and all fees and expenses related to acceptance and use of prize not specifically stated herein, including but not limited to, financing charges, change of air travel fees, ground transportation, automobile insurance, meals, incidentals, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees and/or other expenses, are the responsibility solely of winner. Prizes known as “additional prizes” cannot be substituted, assigned, transferred, or redeemed for cash. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prizes or components of a prize(s). Only the number of prizes stated in these Official Rules is available to be won in the Raffle.
The value of each prize is includible in the winner’s gross income and may be subject to reporting by Sponsor to the Internal Revenue Service. Each winner is solely responsible for payment of all federal, state, and/or local income, sales, or use taxes due on account of his or her acceptance of the prize. If the prize is a car, the winner assumes all fees, local, state, and federal taxes (including but not limited to income taxes based on the value of the house), financing costs (including, but not limited to, closing costs, title insurance, and transfer tax and fees) which must be paid when the car is transferred to the winner. The winner of the Love Our Schools Giveaway car agrees that the value of the car reported by Sponsor for income tax and other purposes. The winner in the Love our Schools Giveaway is responsible for payment of income, sales, use or other applicable taxes, titling, registration, and licensing fees. Sponsor takes no responsibility for any tax liabilities. Winners should consult a tax professional.
Prizes identified as “Additional Prizes” cannot be substituted, assigned, transferred, or redeemed for cash; the “Grand Prize” cannot be substituted, assigned, transferred, or redeemed for cash.
Each winner hereby releases and holds Sponsor, Media Provider, and all Sponsor Associates harmless with respect to any claim based on any such occurrence. A raffle entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of duty or conduct related to the Raffle shall be limited to the return of the purchase price paid for his or her raffle tickets. In no event shall Sponsor or Media Provider be liable to any person for any loss or injuries to earnings, profits or goodwill, or for any direct, incidental, special, punitive or, consequential, or other damages of any person or entity whether arising in contract, tort or otherwise, arising out of the Giveaway, use or ownership of the prizes.
If the Raffle is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including but not limited to infection by computer virus or bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, natural disasters, global heath crises or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor, corruption or alteration of the operation, administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Raffle (“an impairment”), Sponsor may, in its sole and exclusive discretion, void any entries suspected of causing such impairment and/or (a) cancel or terminate the Raffle (or any portion thereof); (b) modify the Raffle or suspend the Raffle to address the impairment and then resume the Raffle in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; and/or (c) award the prize from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of impairment, and/or all eligible non-suspect entries received after the time of impairment.
