A community effort to thank every teacher

During Teacher Appreciation Week, Love Our Schools is on a mission to make sure every public school teacher and school support staff in Lafayette Parish feels seen, valued, and appreciated.

Through The Thank You Project, we’re inviting our entire community to take part in a simple but powerful act, writing handwritten thank you notes to the educators who make a difference every single day.

There are nearly 3,500 teachers and school support staff in Lafayette Parish. Our goal is to make sure every one of them receives a personal note of gratitude.

How to Participate
Getting involved is easy:
1. Pick up notecards
Visit the Community Foundation of Acadiana to pick up your desired number of Love Our Schools notecards.
2. Write your notes
Write a heartfelt thank you message to one or several teachers.
3. Return your completed notecards to Community Foundation of Acadiana
Bring your finished notes back so we can deliver them during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Hours of Operation:
Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Return Deadline:
All notecards must be returned by April 24

We’ve printed a limited number of notecards—just enough for every teacher in Lafayette Parish.
If you pick up cards, please be sure to complete and return them.
Your participation helps ensure that every teacher receives the appreciation they deserve.
